| The AFM-images give qualitative information about the morphology of nanolayers. As can be seen in case of lower hydrophobicity the silica particles formed not complete monolayer (Image A and B). Particles with higher hydrophobic character formed monolayer but for complete close-packed layer medium hydrophobic particles are required (Image C). | ||
