Research Interest
Studies of thermal decomposition reactions of natural and synthetic polymers. Recovery of organic compounds from plastics wastes by pyrolysis. Catalytic modification and upgrading of pyrolysis products of waste plastics. Testing catalyst activity by analytical pyrolysis (Pyrolysis-Catalysis-GC/MS). Formation of potential polluting compounds at elevated temperatures from plastic materials. Characterization of the chemical structure of macromolecules by analytical pyrolysis (Pyrolysis-mass spectrometry, pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, thermogravimetry-mass spectometry). Application of thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation (THM), coupled to GC/MS for the chemical analysis of organic carbon content of atmospheric aerosols.
