- Surface modification (by ion/atom beams, plasma immersion ion implantation) of engineering and bioengineering polymers (polyethylene, PTFE, PET, polycarbonate, polyamide, polyimide, polysulfone, organosilicon polymers...)
- Surface chemical analysis by XPS (ESCA)
- Nanomechanical and nanotribological analysis (hardness and Young modulus by nanoindentation, surface topography, friction and abrasive wear by nanoscratch measurements)
